For the Walking on Air Men’s AW23 show, MATTE brings Hermès a dynamic creative approach to capturing the sweet and sharp looks of the collection, as well as the celebrity talent and elevated atmosphere at the afterparty, all with a fresh New York City perspective.

Set within the Domino Sugar Refinery, we aim to recreate the juxtaposition of dynamic silhouettes against concrete architecture, originally seen at Paris Fashion week. MATTE adds a fresh breath to this reprised presentation through a cinematic and contemporary focus.

We inject an impactful quality into the runway's distinctive layout through a multi-camera approach. Leveraging the expansive, industrial interior and stunning backdrop of the venue to complement the models' silhouettes, we create a breathtaking & dynamic composition. The party’s celebratory atmosphere is captured with a similar approach, which provides a seamless transition within the edit and allows us to capture the high points of the event.

Through these dynamic angles, MATTE’s approach helped enhance the overall uniqueness of the presentation while ensuring that the spotlight remained firmly on the showcased looks and celebrity talent. The star studded afterparty was the cherry on top, where we captured more celebrity sightings and acclaimed performers, who kept the crowd entertained late into the night.
